【摘要】:Thistestmethodisbaseduponthestereologicalprinciplethatagridwithanumberofregularlyarrayedpoints,whensystematicallyplacedoveranimageofatwo-dimensionalsectionthroughthemicrostructure,canprovide,afterarepresentativenumberofplacementsondifferentfields,anunbiasedstatisticalestimationofthevolumefractionofanidentifiableconstituentorphase(1,2,3).Thistestmethodhasbeendescribed(4)asbeingsuperiortoothermanualmethodswithregardtoeffort,bias,andsimplicity.Anynumberofclearlydistinguishableconstituentsorphaseswithinamicrostructure(ormacrostructure)canbecountedusingthemethod.Thus,themethodcanbeappliedtoanytypeofsolidmaterialfromwhichadequatetwo-dimensionalsectionscanbepreparedandobserved.Acondensedstep-by-stepguideforusingthemethodisgiveninAnnexA1.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesasystematicmanualpointcountingprocedureforstatisticallyestimatingthevolumefractionofanidentifiableconstituentorphasefromsectionsthroughthemicrostructurebymeansofapointgrid.1.2TheuseofautomaticimageanalysistodeterminethevolumefractionofconstituentsisdescribedinPracticeE1245.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
